ROBUR Presents Goals Achieved in Sustainability Report 2023
ROBUR Industry Service Group publishes its sustainability report for the third time. The data collection method was certified by TÜV NORD for the first time. Of the twelve targets set for 2022, ROBUR achieved nine in full and is again setting ambitious goals for the coming year.
Munich, July 10, 2023 – ROBUR, the Munich-based industry services specialist for digital transformation and ecological change, today publishes its Sustainability Report 2023, which transparently presents the goals set and their implementation across all partner companies of the Group for the 2022 financial year.
Since its foundation in 2015, ROBUR has been pursuing the goal of making the industry more sustainable. But also, for its own companies, the Group has set internal targets for the fiscal year 2022 in the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance. Of the twelve targets, nine were comprehensively and successfully implemented, one was only narrowly missed, and two are being continuously pursued.
For example, ROBUR achieved 100 percent compensation for flight-related mobility services and, at 69 percent, exceeded its goal of increasing the share of “green electricity” at all ROBUR sites to at least 50 percent. It also achieved its targets in the areas of attractive working environment, work safety, inclusion, training and compliance.
ROBUR took on the task of implementing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at at least four additional ROBUR sites – they achieved a total of three, due to limited availability of service providers and materials, therefore the goal is formally considered not to have been met. Two points that will be continued and expanded as planned are, firstly, the development of a ROBUR-wide vehicle/fleet guideline for electromobility, and secondly, to increase the list of suppliers and service providers audited for sustainability criteria.
Guidelines and Certification
ROBUR wants to continue its contribution to a more sustainable industry and industrial service and support its partner companies and customers in facing future challenges. Therefore, ROBUR decided to align its report even more with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to adopt the guidelines of the German Sustainability Index (DNK) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), along with applying the systematics of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol for the inventory of emissions. In addition, the data collection method was certified by TÜV NORD for the first time in the reporting year based on DIN EN ISO 14064-3:2020.
ROBUR as “Sustainability Enabler”
ROBUR, together with its partner companies, supports its customers in meeting the challenges of ecological change and thus sees itself as a sustainability enabler: Whether it is a matter of maintaining wind turbines onshore and offshore or erecting solar parks. This also includes optimizing supply chains or production processes or relocating entire production sites. Energy efficiency measures are implemented in customers’ production facilities or data centers. It also offers solutions in the field of hydrogen and electrolysis plant production and battery solutions. ROBUR’s partner companies build, maintain and certify charging infrastructure for e-mobility solutions or develop and manufacture prototypes and mock-ups for international public transport.
ROBUR’s Sustainability Targets for 2023
The Group and its partners have continued to set ambitious goals for 2023. The sustainability report includes a total of fifteen points covering the areas of emissions reduction, responsible use of resources, a safe and attractive work environment, and responsible corporate governance and compliance.
“Creating a company focused on sustainability is a process. We experience this every day in the Group but also in our own lives. Not every goal can be achieved that easily overnight. It takes time. That’s why I’m particularly pleased that we achieved most of the goals we defined last year. But now is not the time to rest. We have also set ourselves new and ambitious goals for ROBUR’s further ecological transformation. And we will continue to work on these with all our energy in 2023 and beyond in all our partner companies. For us, for our customers, for the planet and for future generations,” concludes Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler, CEO and Managing Partner of ROBUR.
