Today’s innovative and modern wood processing is not possible without silicon in the form of microchips and smart IT.
An ESCAD customer in Austria therefore used an investment in the expansion of a sawing machine to reposition and comprehensively modernize a central control room. With new control cabinets, decentralized I/O distributors, and state-of-the-art cabling and control panels, the entire control electronics were given a new base, and with the reprogramming of the control of HMI and drive technology a new brain, so to speak. The installation of the latest drive technology from SEW will even additionally save energy in the future.
The project duration was 11 months. And despite the large scope, production was able to continue almost without interruption thanks to precise planning. Comprehensive and transparent electronic documentation of the project and new CE markings round off the project to the customer’s satisfaction.
