Maintenance now more efficient through optimized maintenance management

After many years of trouble-free operation, it was time to upgrade the maintenance software for the Köln Verkehrs-Betriebe based on IBM Maximo to the latest version. A project that the persons responsible used to realize further benefits. In the course of the update the integration into the business SAP-System was enhanced, which slimmed down many procedures like billing and parts management. At the same time, all inventory data was checked, and adjusted if necessary, during the migration. This in turn led to a significantly higher data quality and optimized evaluation options.
The three previously separate systems, for buses, light-rail and ticket machine were also merged, which significantly simplified the monitoring of the system.
