IMO Service GmbH continues to grow, with at least 25 employees – some of them new – at the new Ludwigshafen site. This has been made possible by intensified collaboration with Fluidserv GmbH, a company already based in Ludwigsburg. Both are part of the ROBUR Group and both have been working for BASF as their customer for many years. Expansion plans were discussed with them in advance and a substantial framework agreement was agreed, which also economically secured the new location.
Fluidserv GmbH is a specialist for complex and individual pump solutions and has ample project experience with BASF and others. For its part, IMO Service GmbH is a specialist for maintenance, inspection, repair and pipeline construction and has been a successful service provider at numerous other chemical and petrochemical locations in Germany for many years.
Initially, IMO Service will mainly be supporting BASF in Ludwigshafen in maintaining the acetylene plant and the TDI plant, in the water supply and in the area of component manufacture. IMO employees are primarily concerned with the maintenance and replacement of pipes and fittings.
Matthias Müller, managing director of FLUIDSERV GmbH and site manager for ROBUR Industry Service Group GmbH in Ludwigshafen, coordinates all inquiries to IMO Service GmbH for this site as a central contact. He hopes to have all 25 planned employees on board as soon as possible. After that, the services will also be offered to other potential customers in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. By the way, capacity shortfalls are compensated by IMO Hungaria to ensure that perfect service can always be provided.
