The FLUIDSERV GmbH, based in Ludwigshafen, received a major contract from the Wuppertalverband in Wuppertal for the complete overhaul of 13 digested sludge mixers in the course of a highly competitive tender.
Perfectly maintained sludge mixers reduce the formation of sediment and scum in sewage treatment plants and contribute to a better yield of digester gas. Experience and professionalism were therefore decisive for the awarding of the contract to the experts of FLUIDSERV. The total duration of the contract is approximately 2 years and includes the overhaul of a total of 13 sludge mixers of size 2, 3, 4 and 5, which will take place in the FLUIDSERVE Service Center in Ludwigshafen, the respective mounting and disassembly at the Wupperverband as well as the transportation.
During the work on site the complete infrastructure of the mixers will be reviewed and, if necessary, overhauled. The overhaul of the mixer itself does not only include the replacement of all C-parts like studs, bolts and seals, but also the exchange of the ball bearings as well as the reconditioning, or, if necessary, the manufacturing and exchange of the hydraulic components. During the overhaul of the sludge mixers a special methane-resistant grease from FLUIDSERV is used which guarantees, in addition to the true to original overhaul, a further long-term operation of the mixers.
Nationwide more than 50 sewage treatment plants already rely on the expertise of FLUIDSERVE GmbH as an independent and very well experienced service partner for repairs and maintenance of pumping plants and other machines which are used to handle fluid mediums.
