Cheerful and “well-rounded” – the first HAUSMESSE at GIS mbH
The HAUSMESSE on September 18 and 19 on the CEDAR campus in Weinheim with the sponsors Infor and IBM was successful and very well received by the participants. 69 participants experienced two interesting and informative days in the relaxed, informal atmosphere in the new rooms of the CEDAR campus with high-quality presentations, very pleasant lecture and break times and great hospitality…as the participants’ evaluation sheets indicated.
Under the motto “Off to the Future” the event was filled with exciting and versatile insight-concepts and future-concepts, reports from experts, live demonstrations and a round table on digitization.
Primary objective: To inspire about how ideas can be transferred to companies step by step using modern tools and solutions.
The event started with Dr. Ansgar Niehof (Managing Director GIS) on the topic “Digitization in Maintenance” on issues like
Hype or normal daily business?
To what extent is digitization changing the maintenance management in everyday life?
What is the difference between digital transformation and the introduction of digital technologies?
All this was demonstrated through prototypes and references from specific projects implemented with GIS’ own Open-Platform and Insight-Platform, as well as the world’s leading EAM systems IBM Maximo and Infor EAM.
The prominent topics included specialist topics in the field of AI (visual inspections, drones in maintenance), topics such as virtual reality / augmented reality and innovative solutions for nuclear dismantling. Furthermore, solutions for sustainable maintenance management based on condition-based monitoring and measurement data integration in the maintenance management systems were presented using the example of DGUV examinations. Additionally, various solutions and aspects of sensor integration were presented as the basis for condition-based monitoring and predictive or prescriptive maintenance.
The program was supplemented with product topics:
The GIS maintenance portal ‚Insight Control Panel‘ (ICP), which includes the Insight Mobile (mobilization of maintenance independent from the system) and additional solutions such as an explorer for object search, map integration, full-text search, planning board and dashboards for key figures belong.
The GIS-EAM (openBMS) in the change process for sustainable operation: Transfer to a web-based EAM (openTALOS) while preserving the proven workflow functionality and minimal migration effort.
Dismantling360°, a comprehensive solution for efficient IT support of deconstruction management.
Other topics such as condition monitoring, instrument integration, data management tool and other tools around Maximo completed the varied program.
At the end there was another highlight at “Help design the Insight Roadmap” under the direction of Marc Bogenstahl (Industry Product Management): In the “Design-Thinking-Workshop”, ideas for a product extension fir GIS’ Insight product were developed and presented by the participants, the best idea for a product extension was then chosen and received the prize of 15,000 €.
