BASF commissions the external provider FLUIDSERV with the inspection and maintenance of large pumps.
Capacity, quality, experience and know-how convinced the chemicals groups to award a long-term contract to FLUIDSERV GmbH for the maintenance, service and repair of about 60 large pumps.
FLUIDSERV and its customer BASF are continuing to expand their long-term collaboration. BASF was keen to commission an external partner with the maintenance of 60 large pumps and then use its internal capacities elsewhere. It is no secret that FLUIDSERV, the specialist for complex and tailored pump solutions and services, has more than enough experience and know-how. FLUIDSERV was therefore – also based on the good and close collaboration to date – the candidate of choice for the long-term contract.
The job involves providing two types of pump maintenance for tubular casings and horizontally split dual-flow pumps: major and minor maintenance, performed on site at the facility in each case. Among other things, the scope of the assignment includes seal checks, seal replacement, determination of the condition of the blading, gap dimension checks and determination of the general condition, of course.
A three-strong FLUIDSERV team received special training to meet the customer‘s requirements and to ensure smooth procedures with minimal operational interruptions. They include two specialists on the ground and one colleague as a springer on constant call. All three colleagues have been assigned to the project on a long-term basis to assure the best possible delivery of know-how and process quality. A dedicated maintenance vehicle to transport material, tools and manpower adds the finishing touch to the service.
The contract will run until Easter 2021, and both sides are keen to extend the agreement beyond this term.
